GETTING TO THE FORUM

The in-person portion of the NINDS 2023 Nonprofit Forum will take place at the Natcher Conference Center (Building 45) on the main campus of the NIH in Bethesda, MD.

Getting to NIH Main Campus

Visitor parking is challenging to find at NIH, so in-person attendees are encouraged to use public transportation such as the Metrorail subway system, which has a convenient stop (Medical Center) on the NIH campus.

By Metro: Medical Center Station (Red Line)

NOTE: The MLP-11 underground parking garage is the primary visitor parking for the NIH campus (see map below)

By Taxi or Car Service: Drop off in front of NIH Gateway Visitor Center (see map)

Security Procedures to Access NIH Main Campus

All visitors must enter through the NIH Gateway Visitor Center (Building 66). Please allow adequate time to arrive at the NIH main campus and to get through security. You will need to obtain a visitor’s badge, so please bring a government-issued photo ID.

Travel and Lodging Information

For those joining us in-person, attendees are responsible for making and canceling their travel reservations as needed. Please be mindful of cancellation and change fees as you make your travel plans.

Hosted/sponsored travelers will be contacted with travel and lodging instructions directly by the meeting logistics team starting in June.

Local Airports:
We encourage those in need of flights pay close attention to the options available regarding cancellation and change fees when purchasing airfare.

Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA): Approximately 20 miles/30 minutes
Dulles International Airport (IAD): Approximately 25 miles/30 minutes
Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI): Approximately 40 miles/50 minutes
